The vision of Sri C.K Raghavan, a social activist and the founder of Jayasree Institutions, was to make the trust grow from a single institution into a mammoth multi-institution providing quality education at all levels.

CKRM Educational Trust came into existence in 2001, after the demise of Sri C.K Raghavan on 24th December 1994, with his wife Smt. V.J Kamalakshi teacher as Patron and their son Sri KR Jayaram as Managing Trustee. From its humble beginning in 1976 at primary level, C.K.R.M Educational Trust today owns and manages over six institutions from primary level to Teacher Education centers. Year after year, these institutions that are well known for their professionalism, and strong value system are actualizing society’s vision by discovering and developing thousands of young mind’s potential to their perfection.
All the institutions under the trust uphold the ideas of the social reformer Saint Sree Narayanaguru. With an aim to promote various educational, charitable, and Social activities, the trust has pioneered in providing higher educational opportunities to all sections of society.

C. K. Raghavan Memorial Institute of Teacher Education was established in the year of 2007 as a self-financing institute running under the CKRM Charitable Trust. The Institution is recognized by the NCTE as per order F.SRO/NCTE/D.T.Ed/2007-2008/6017 and affiliated to the Govt of Kerala (General Education Dept.). The institution offers two year, on campus, full-time D.EI.Ed. Course (Diploma in Elementary Education) for 53 students every year.
The Institution believes that education is the key sector where the minds and attitudes of the younger generation are shaped and aims at equipping the teachers with all the necessary skills to mold the ideal future world citizens. The objective is to furnish the student teachers with ample exposure to maximize their abilities. The institution is actively involved in teaching different methodologies to impart quality teaching for the multi-dimensional development of the students. The campus is set in such a way that is benefiting to the growth of pupil’s mental health, and competence.
Apart from the primary aim of imparting knowledge, our institution has been visualized to play significant role in the enhancement of the socially and educationally backward Wayanad district.
